Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in educational leadership or related field.
• Valid MI teaching certificate, secondary preferred.
• Michigan School Administrator certificate.
• Three years of successful secondary teaching experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff and community.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an effective learning climate in the school.
• Enforce discipline per school Code of Responsible Behavior.
• Work with Administration Center staff on district issues.
• Recruit, screen, hire, train, and evaluate staff for the building.
• Act as principal in the principal’s absence.
• Collaborate with instructional staff to meet student needs.
• Plan and supervise school activities and programs.
• Maintain accurate student records and progress reports.
• Foster relationships with community groups and stakeholders.
• Participate in building and district meetings.
• Assist in budget development and resource allocation.
• Serve as liaison with police and external agencies.
• Ensure safety and respond to emergencies.
