Role Overview: The Interim Fund Controller will step into a key finance leadership role at a fast‑paced private equity firm. • Coordinate annual fund audits and tax filings with external auditors and tax advisors.
  • Monitor fund compliance, partnership agreements, and regulatory obligations.
  • Support internal reporting processes, including fund performance tracking and ad hoc financial analysis.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders (deal teams, legal, compliance, investor relations) to ensure alignment on fund operations.
  • Provide insight and recommendations to improve reporting processes and financial controls.
  • Ensure a seamless transition back to the permanent Fund Controller at the end of the engagement.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in fund accounting and financial operations, ideally in a private equity, venture capital, or asset management environment.
  • Prior experience managing third‑party fund administrators and auditors.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work with executives, legal, and investment professionals.
  • Highly organized, self‑motivated, and able to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Prior experience in an interim, fractional, or consulting capacity is a plus.

Compensation: Competitive, based on experience. Paid monthly throughout the engagement.
