Job summary

Venteon Finance is seeking an Interim Controller for a leading company in the metro Detroit area. The role reports to the Corporate Leadership Team and oversees the financial function at the US corporate office.

You will work with the CFO to standardize procedures, lead audit support, manage accounting activities, and drive improvements in revenue recognition, inventory management, and general ledger controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CMA or CPA designation preferred.
• Prior Controller/Operational Finance experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience in a multi-site, multi-division environment.

Responsibilities

• Work with CFO to ensure standardized accounting procedures and processes.
• Lead and provide appropriate supporting documentation to internal/external auditors
• Manage and provide guidance and assistance with all ongoing accounting activities and reporting
• Demonstrated ability to manage accounting clean-up work and implement operational accounting changes where needed within the General Ledger.
• Knowledge of QuickBooks/NetSuite/Sage Intacct also beneficial

Requirements of the Interim Controller

This position supports the finance and operational accounting teams, reporting to the CFO.

The Interim Controller will work with the CFO providing accounting leadership, support and assistance within the following areas:

• Accounting Clean up initiatives
• Revenue Recognition
• Inventory Management and Inventory Analysis
• Assist the CFO in assessing, revamping and streamlining current accounting functions and activities.
