Job summary

Ports North in Dallas, TX is seeking an Interim Principal Data & Integration Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of the enterprise data platform and integration strategy.

This hands-on leader will own the data platform roadmap, drive lakehouse and data warehouse initiatives, establish governance, and build scalable APIs and ETL/ELT pipelines across the business.

Qualifications

• Proven enterprise data architecture and strategy experience.
• Hands-on with Microsoft data tech, Databricks, API architecture, and cloud data platforms.
• Experience with data warehouses, lakehouses, ETL/ELT, and data pipelines.
• Experience governance: data quality, lineage, ownership, MDMs.
• Proven ability to lead data platform transformations in growth orgs.
• Experience in energy/construction or capital-intensive industries preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the build-out of the enterprise data platform and integration architecture.
• Establish enterprise data architecture across systems.
• Design modern cloud-based data platforms including lakehouse and data warehouse.
• Develop scalable integration frameworks using APIs, ETL/ELT, and pipelines.
• Establish data governance including ownership, quality, lineage, and master data.
• Create a unified enterprise data strategy to remove silos.
• Build foundation for enterprise reporting, analytics, and AI/ML capabilities.
• Evaluate and recommend data platforms, tools, and technologies.
• Partner with leaders to set data standards and drive adoption.
