Job summary

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools in Charlotte, North Carolina is seeking an Interim Teacher for K-6/2nd Grade for the period 11/2/26 to 2/17/27. The teacher will develop lesson plans, supervise and evaluate students, and align instruction with district standards under the direction of the principal.

This 10-month assignment is full-time with a certified schedule. Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree and NC teaching certification; experience with IEPs and 504 plans is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Valid NC Teaching certification or eligible for NC Teaching certification in assigned area.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all state, federal, and local laws, policies, and procedures.
• Create a culture of effectiveness by setting high standards and expectations for all students.
• Plan and implement a program of study in the assigned content area that meets the needs, interests, and abilities of assigned students.
• Instruct students individually and in groups using various teaching methods.
• Prepare materials and classrooms for class activities. Provide a variety of materials for children to explore, manipulate, and use in learning activities.
• Meet with parents/guardians to discuss student progress and resources needs, and encourage parent involvement.
