Job summary

Medway Public Schools seeks an Interim Elementary Assistant Principal for the 2026-2027 school year to lead with an emphasis on MTSS, literacy, and student supports. The position requires collaboration with the principal, staff, families, and community partners to maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.

The role includes supervising instructional staff, supporting curriculum implementation, and coordinating school events.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts licensure or eligibility to obtain as Principal/Assistant Principal.
• Masters degree in educational administration or curriculum and supervision preferred.
• Administrative/supervisory experience preferred.
• Minimum of three years teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a visible and accessible administrator who builds relationships with students, families, and staff.
• Works with the principal to maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive school environment.
• Supports MTSS data-informed intervention and collaboration with support teams.
• Partners with academic departments to support instructional improvement and curriculum implementation.
• Assists in supervising and evaluating instructional staff per the Massachusetts Educator Evaluation Framework.
• Assists in recruiting, screening, hiring, onboarding, and supporting staff.
• Supports development and implementation of student support and accountability systems.
• Collaborates with counselors, SPED staff, and support personnel to coordinate student support.
• Plans and supervises school events, co-curricular activities, and student programs.

Education

Massachusetts licensure or eligibility to obtain as Principal/Assistant Principal

Masters Degree with specialization in educational administration or curriculum and supervision

Administrative and/or supervisory experience

Minimum of three years teaching experience
