Job summary

Vassalboro Community School seeks a student-centered, enthusiastic interim Assistant Principal for the 26-27 school year. You will partner with the Building Principal to promote a safe learning environment, foster a positive school culture, and build strong community relationships while upholding the school's mission.

The successful candidate will bring leadership, communication skills, and a commitment to behavioral and academic interventions under MTSS, with strict confidentiality and FERPA

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education required.
• Master's degree in Education preferred.
• Certification as an Assistant Building Administrator (045) or eligible for a conditional certificate.
• Experience with MTSS, behavioral and academic interventions.
• Demonstrates follow-through, reliability, and professional integrity.

Responsibilities

• Support the Building Principal in promoting a safe learning environment.
• Lead behavioral and academic interventions and MTSS efforts as needed.
• Collaborate to improve student achievement and school culture this academic year.
• Maintain confidentiality and FERPA compliance in all interactions.

About Us

The Vassalboro Community School serves over 400 students in Grades PK-8. We are seeking a student-centered, enthusiastici interim Assistant Principal for the entire 26-27 School year to join our team. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal and leadership skills to promote increased student behavioral and academic achievement. They will work closely with the Building Principal to enhance a safe learning environment, foster positive school culture and community relationships and maintain the goals and mission of VCS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Master’s Degree preferred
• Certification as an Assistant Building Administrator (045) or eligible for a condidtional certificate
• Background and experience with behavioral and academic interventions, student discipline and / or with the MTSS process
• Demonstrate strong follow-through on commitments, deadlines, and responsibilities
• Uphold confidentiality and FERPA requirements with integrity in all circumstances
• Communicate clearly, consistently, and professionally in both written and verbal formats
