Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for research computing operations, infrastructure, and services.
• Lead organizational transformation, culture improvements, and change management initiatives.
• Supervise managers, technical professionals, and student staff.
• Evaluate departmental operations, staffing, technology infrastructure, and active projects.
• Establish governance frameworks, operational procedures, and performance accountability.
• Improve IT service delivery, service desk processes, reporting, and customer satisfaction.
• Develop departmental priorities, performance metrics, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with university policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify operational challenges and implement structural improvements.
• Provide executive reports, strategic recommendations, and organizational assessments.
• Mentor employees, support professional development, and strengthen team collaboration.
• Develop succession plans and transition documentation for the permanent Director.
