Job summary

FullShift Staffing seeks a Director of Nursing (DON) for the Northern California region. The DON will oversee Nursing Services, ensure 24-hour supervision, and align care with physicians’ orders and regulatory standards.

The role requires RN licensure and applicable supervisory experience to maintain quality in a multi-resident setting. The Director will collaborate with administration, participate in admissions decisions, and guide the nursing team through policies and procedures while ensuring

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as RN in the state practiced.
• Associate or Bachelor Degree from an accredited nursing school.
• Five years in long-term or acute health care preferred; At least 2 years nursing supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assumes ultimate responsibility for coordinating plans for total care of each resident which comply with physician’s orders, governmental regulations and facility policies.
• Ensures 24-hour supervision of Nursing Services and directs the Nursing Department to meet quality standards.
• Directs nursing processes and acts under the State Nurse Practice Act ofRegistered Nurse licensure.
• Participates in admissions decisions and reviews resident status with management team meetings.
• Performs duties and responsibilities as assigned by administration and may adapt as needed.
