Job summary

FullShift Staffing in Northern CA is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to oversee Nursing Services, ensure quality care, and supervise staff 24/7 in accordance with regulations.

The DON will coordinate admissions, manage the nursing process, and ensure compliance with physician orders and the State Nurse Practice Act. RN licensure and a BSN/ASN are required with supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in the state of practice.
• Five years in long-term or acute health care preferred; at least 2 years nursing supervisory experience required.
• Bachelor's or Associate degree in nursing is required.

Responsibilities

• Assumes ultimate responsibility for coordinating plans for total care of each resident in line with physician orders and regulations.
• Communicates and interprets policies and procedures to nursing staff and monitors practices.
• Participates in admissions decisions and may visit prospective residents before admissions.
• Participates in daily/weekly management team meetings to discuss resident status and census changes.
• Other duties may be assigned at any time with or without notice.
