Tobin & Associates is seeking an experienced Interim Director of Nursing (DON) for a full-time, temporary assignment at a Dover, Ohio skilled nursing facility. The ideal candidate will assess needs quickly, support the nursing team, and maintain quality resident care.

compensation includes $55–$60 per hour, paid weekly, with a travel package available for candidates 60+ miles from the facility. This is a full-time interim role through Tobin & Associates.

Qualifications

• RN licensed to practice in Ohio
• Experience as Director of Nursing or senior nursing leader in skilled nursing/long-term care
• Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations
• Ability to lead teams and adapt quickly in a new facility

Tobin & Associates is seeking an experienced Interim Director of Nursing for a full-time, temporary assignment at a client skilled nursing facility in Dover, Ohio. This opportunity is ideal for a clinical leader who can assess needs quickly, support the nursing team, and maintain quality resident care.

Compensation & Travel

• $55–$60 per hour, paid weekly
• Travel package available for qualified candidates residing 60+ miles from the facility
• Full-time interim assignment through Tobin & Associates

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily nursing operations and promote a supportive, accountable team environment
• Maintain high standards for resident care, documentation, and regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with facility leadership, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team
• Provide guidance on staffing, scheduling, clinical practices, and staff performance
• Support survey readiness, quality improvement initiatives, and plans of correction as needed
• Identify clinical concerns and implement timely, effective solutions

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license valid for practice in Ohio
• Prior experience as a Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, or senior nursing leader in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting
• Strong knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations
• Ability to assess priorities, lead teams, and adapt quickly to a new facility
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
