Addison Group is seeking a Director of Compensation to provide interim leadership for our client's Total Rewards function during an extended leave. This temporary assignment will oversee a team of three compensation professionals and advise senior leadership on strategy, programs, and market analysis in a higher education setting in Washington, DC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• 8+ years of compensation leadership experience or equivalent.
• Expertise in compensation program design and executive pay.
• Strong Excel, budgeting and data analysis skills.
• Experience with compensation systems such as Workday.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction for the compensation function and lead the team.
• Advise senior executives on compensation decisions and organizational design.
• Develop and assess compensation programs to align with business goals.
• Oversee annual compensation activities, merit planning and market pricing.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment requirements.
