Job description

The client is seeking an interim Director of Case Management to lead Health Information Management (HIM) and support case management and utilization review operations at a hospital in Mayfield, Kentucky. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this leader will oversee five direct reports and advance patient care progression by coordinating with physicians and clinical teams to support timely transitions of care.

Key responsibilities include managing utilization review and maintaining regulatory readiness, while providing hands‑on support and adapting quickly to changing needs. The ideal candidate will have director‑level HIM experience and case management expertise, along with strong physician collaboration and communication skills, and will be highly organized and patient‑focused. Availability to start within 2–3 weeks of acceptance is expected.

Required qualifications include a BSN, an active RN license, director‑level HIM experience, case management experience, and a Certified Case Manager (CCM) or Accredited Case Manager–Registered Nurse (ACM-RN) certification. Compensation is estimated at $150,000 to $165,000 annually, with final compensation determined based on experience, education, training, location, internal equity, and budget considerations; eligibility for a comprehensive benefits package may be available depending on the specific role and other factors.
