Job summary

Vaco Recruiter Services seeks a corporate controller with manufacturing experience to support our client in Smyrna/La Vergne. The role covers month-end close, cost accounting, budgeting/forecasting (including 2027), inventory, audit readiness, and financial statement generation.

Hybrid role with on-site work in Rutherford county, Tennessee. The position is temporary/interim, requiring local presence and the ability to commit to 3+ months, with up to 3 days on-site weekly.

Qualifications

• Must have corporate controllership experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with month-end close and cost reporting.
• Ability to manage monthly close, AP, AR, Payroll, Fixed Assets, Tax, Plant performance, and financial statement prep.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close processes and ensure accuracy of financial statements.
• Oversee cost accounting, budgeting, and forecasting including 2027 budget.
• Manage inventory controls, audit readiness, and financial statement generation.

We are seeking a corporate controller with manufacturing expeirence to support our Smyrna/La Vergne based client through various initiatives to include month-end close, cost accounting, budgeting/forecasting (including 2027 budget), inventory, audit readiness, and financial statement generation.

This is a hybrid position, 3 days a week on-site in the Rutherford county area.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Must have corporate controllership experience, proven in manufacturing industry.
• Adept with cost accounting/reporting
• Ability to independently manage all aspects of monthly close, AP, AR, Payroll, Fixed Assets, Tax, Plant Performance, and Financial Statement Preparation
• MUST be readily available
• Able to commit to 3+ months and be on-site up to 3 days/week
