Job summary

StevenDouglas is partnering with a global manufacturer to recruit an Interim Controller for a six-month assignment in the North Austin area. This senior finance leadership role will own accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance across a cross-border manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• CPA strongly preferred; will consider equivalent experience.
• Experience in a public or publicly traded company environment.
• Manufacturing industry experience required.
• Significant experience in a large, multi-site environment with shared services.
• ERP experience with SAP or Oracle or similar systems.
• Versatile, adaptable leader in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for North America.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP (and IFRS where applicable).
• Oversee consolidation of multi-plant, multi-entity operations.
• Coordinate external audits and manage auditor relationships.
• Design, implement, and maintain internal control systems.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and financial governance standards.
• Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks.
• Lead internal audit initiatives and remediation efforts.
• Lead and develop regional accounting teams.
• Build scalable processes and drive continuous improvement.
• Foster a high-performance, accountability-driven culture.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, HR, and Commercial teams.
• Provide financial insights supporting capital investments and expansions.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
• Partner with FP&A on trend and profitability analysis.
• Drive ERP optimization and finance transformation initiatives.
