Job summary

UHY is a global accounting network delivering audit, tax, advisory and consulting services in the United States. We are seeking an experienced finance professional to drive mission-critical accounting projects for mid-market to large-size clients as an Interim Controller and project lead.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in accounting/finance, CPA or equivalent preferred, and a track record of independent work, problem solving, and clear communication across teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of accounting/finance experience in complex, multi-entity environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and initiative in ambiguous situations.
• Proficiency with accounting software (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP) and data analysis.
• Excellent communication across all levels of the organization; background checks required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Interim Controller, overseeing financial operations.
• Manage accounting functions, transactions, and month-end closings.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
• Implement and monitor internal controls for regulatory compliance.
• Lead special projects (e.g., system transitions, audit preparations, M&A integrations).
