Job summary

PI (Physik Instrumente), LP is seeking an experienced Interim Controller to join our finance team in Shrewsbury, MA. The role focuses on month-end/year-end closes, complex reporting, and integration activities, providing financial partnership to leadership and our shared services team.

The position is a contract engagement with potential for longer-term opportunities. Candidates should bring 7+ years of accounting experience, strong US GAAP knowledge, ERP proficiency (Infor LN preferred), and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
• Minimum 7+ years of progressive accounting experience; manufacturing or distribution experience preferred.
• Solid US GAAP knowledge with IFRS exposure and ability to reconcile differences.
• Hands-on ERP experience; Infor LN or similar preferred; post transactions and troubleshoot flows.

Responsibilities

• Execute month-end and year-end close tasks with journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Maintain inventory accounting and COGS for manufacturing operations.
• Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and group consolidation support.
• Support AR/AP, vendor/customer reconciliations, and payment processes as needed.
• Prepare schedules for external audits and liaise with auditors and HQ tax advisors.
• Build strong partnerships with accounting, business leaders, and shared services.
• Evaluate processes and opportunities to enhance finance function effectiveness.
