Job summary

PI (Physik Instrumente), LP is seeking an experienced Interim Controller to join our finance team in Shrewsbury, MA. You will manage complex close, reporting, and integration activities while partnering with leadership and our shared services team.

This on-site engagement offers opportunity for broader leadership within finance as the integration progresses; manufacturing/distribution accounting, US GAAP proficiency, and ERP expertise are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience; manufacturing or distribution experience preferred.
• Solid working knowledge of US GAAP with IFRS exposure and ability to reconcile differences.
• Hands-on ERP experience; Infor LN or similar, ability to post transactions and troubleshoot flows.

Responsibilities

• Execute month-end and year-end close tasks with journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations for GL, inventory, intercompany, prepaids, and fixed assets.
• Maintain inventory accounting, COGS, variances, freight, and scrap for manufacturing operations.
• Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and support group consolidation efforts.
• Support AR/AP exceptions, reconciliations, and payment processes as needed.
• Prepare schedules and documentation for external audits and tax reviews; liaise with auditors and HQ tax advisors.
• Build strong partnerships with accounting teams, business leaders, and shared services partners.
