Overview

Our client is seeking an Interim Controller to lead core accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and maintain strong internal controls during a transition period. This role reports to the CFO and partners closely with cross-functional leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly close and prepare GAAP financial statements.
• Manage budgeting updates, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Strengthen internal controls and ensure policy and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee AP/AR, cash application, and working capital processes.
• Maintain financial systems and drive process improvements and automation.
• Partner with leadership on financial insights and operational decision support.
• Lead and support the accounting team as needed during the interim period.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance; CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong GAAP, financial analysis, and ERP system skills.
• Hands‑on experience with internal controls, reconciliations, and month‑end close.
• Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented, and able to step in quickly.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
