Job summary

Cassia, a faith-based ministry, seeks an Interim Chaplain for Lakeside Generations in Dassel, MN. This part-time role provides pastoral care to residents, families, and staff through worship services, Bible studies, and one-to-one visits.

The chaplain will collaborate with Cassia’s spiritual care network to support residents in times of need, aligning with Christ’s love and Cassia’s mission. Qualifications include a Master of Divinity and ELCA endorsement; CPD units are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Masters of Divinity required.
• Ordained or commissioned with the ELCA or endorsed church body.
• Completion of 4 units of Clinical Pastoral Education encouraged, not required.
• Board Certification preferred but not required.
• Parish or senior health care chaplain experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide spiritual care to residents, families, and staff.
• Visit residents individually to determine appropriate spiritual involvement.
• Ensure timely spiritual care assessments are entered into medical charts.
• Prepare materials for Bible studies, devotions, and worship services.
• Assist families and staff during emergencies or loss and represent Cassia in local churches.
