Job summary

CFS is seeking an experienced Interim Chief Financial Officer to provide hands-on financial leadership during a transitional period. This role oversees accounting and finance functions, improves reporting processes, ensures compliance, and partners with the executive team to support strategic initiatives.

You will stabilize operations, lead the finance team through change, manage close processes, optimize systems, and coordinate with auditors. CPA preferred; CFO-level experience required.

Qualifications

• Must have CPA preferred and CFO-level experience.
• Strong background in financial reporting, budgeting, cash management, and internal controls.
• Experience leading accounting teams through organizational change.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting and finance operations.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close and ensure timely financial reporting.
• Review financial statements and reconciliations.
• Manage cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and planning.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
• Oversee payroll approvals and accounting operations.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to accounting staff.
• Collaborate with executives to identify process improvements.
• Support system optimization and audit coordination.
