Job summary

BrainWorks is seeking an Interim Accounting Manager for a hybrid role in the Kansas City area. The position pays $60/hour+ and runs 3-6 months with potential for extension.

The role focuses on supporting the ERP implementation and managing general accounting activities during a critical transition, starting ASAP. The candidate will work with a strong local KC team, performing duties including Fixed Assets, Cash, and Bank reconciliations, and other ad hoc tasks as needed until the ERP project

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive general ledger accounting experience.
• Experience owning the full balance sheet and close process for Fixed Assets and Cash.
• Experience supporting and/or leading an ERP implementation project.
• Intermediate Excel skills including the ability to produce Pivot Tables and utilize Lookup functions.

Responsibilities

• Support Fixed Assets, Cash and Bank reconciliations.
• Assist with ad hoc accounting tasks during ERP implementation.
• Collaborate with Controller and ERP project team.

Our team is working with a leader in the technical education field that is actively seeking support in within general accounting during a critical period of their ERP implementation. The company has an awesome local team in the KC market and the Controller is an incredible leader. This position will support with a variety of adhoc tasks, and the initial focus will be within Fixed Assets, Cash and Bank Reconciliations.

Must Have Requirements:

• 7+ years of progressive general ledger accounting experience
• Experience owning the full balance sheet and close process for Fixed Assets and Cash
• Experience supporting and/or leading an ERP implementation project
• Intermediate Excel skills including the ability to produce Pivot Tables and utilize Lookup functions

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Great Plains and/or Workday
