UHY Advisors is seeking an Interim Accountant to join our Resource Solutions Group in a hybrid, consulting role. The candidate will excel in Excel, perform heavy reconciliations related to freight, duties, and tariffs, and contribute to the month-end close with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and has at least 3 years of accounting experience, with SAP experience preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills with pivot tables and lookups.
• Demonstrated reconciliation experience with thorough investigation.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential.
• SAP experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-volume reconciliations related to freight, duties, and tariffs and resolve discrepancies.
• Analyze large data sets from various systems to support reconciliation processes.
• Research discrepancies, identify causes, and work toward timely resolutions.
• Support month-end close activities and complete accounting duties on deadlines.
• Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to review financial information.
• Learn freight, duty, and tariff processes and apply reconciliation skills.
