University of Minnesota Extension seeks a Temporary Interim 4-H Program Associate to support county 4-H Youth Development. The role involves coordinating activities, recruiting volunteers, and promoting programs across the county, with a focus on safety and policy adherence.

Work is at a county Extension office and in various community settings; hours range 20–40 per week, including days, evenings and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be at least 20 years old by start date.
• One year of youth work experience or equivalent demonstrated by volunteer or paid work.
• Proficient with word processing, e-mail, and internet browsers.
• Experience in client-facing settings by phone or in person.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English and follow Extension guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate county 4-H programs and map activities to statewide outcomes.
• Recruit, train, and recognize adult volunteers; ensure proper screening.
• Promote 4-H programs through social media, email, and direct mail.
• Manage operations with fiscal accountability and risk controls.
