Job description

Description

Job Summary

The Integration Planner is a high-impact individual contributor responsible for converting customer demand, project requirements, deployment schedules, and operational priorities into executable production plans. This position serves as the central planning connection between Project Management, Sales, Operations, Integration, Logistics, and Operations leadership. The Integration Planner provides forward-looking visibility to workload, establishes production priorities, develops capacity and labor plans, and helps ensure Integration Operations is positioned to meet required completion and deployment dates. This is not simply a scheduling or administrative role. The successful candidate will understand how work moves through the operation, anticipate constraints, identify execution risks before they affect production, and give leaders the information needed to make informed staffing, scheduling, and prioritization decisions.

Reporting Relationships

  • Reports to: Director of Operations

  • Non-supervisory position/Supervisory position

Primary Job Responsibilities

Production Planning & Scheduling: Responsible for developing, maintaining, and updating short- and long-term production schedules aligned with customer demand, deployment dates, and operational priorities. This role translates project forecasts into actionable plans, balances workloads across shifts and workstations, and establishes clear priorities in coordination with Integration and Operations leadership. When deviations or delays occur, the role develops recovery plans, adjusts schedules in real time, and maintains transparent communication and pipeline visibility.

Production Capacity & Labor Planning: Focuses on assessing available operational capacity by evaluating labor, equipment, operating hours, and historical throughput. The position forecasts labor and capacity requirements, identifies potential resource gaps, and recommends adjustments such as shift modifications, overtime, or staffing changes. Additionally, it evaluates the operational impact of new programs and continuously refines capacity assumptions using actual performance metrics.

Work Intake & Prioritization: Oversees end-to-end tracking of incoming work from initial project planning to full production readiness. By reviewing target completion dates and resource constraints, this role establishes logical production sequences, resolves conflicting priorities, and escalates unresolvable capacity bottlenecks. Complete operational visibility is maintained across all stages of work, including planned, ready, in-progress, at-risk, and completed status.

Customer Onboarding & Production Trials: Partners with cross-functional teams—including Project Management, Engineering, Logistics, and Operations—to onboard new accounts, define operational parameters, and align on production expectations prior to launch. The role participates in trials and proof-of-concept activities, analyzing metrics such as cycle times, labor needs, and quality performance to convert trial data into scalable schedules, capacity plans, and standard procedures. Early production runs are closely monitored to refine planning models as actual throughput data is established.

Production Readiness: Serves as a gatekeeper to ensure all planned work satisfies essential execution prerequisites before scheduling begins. This involves auditing material availability, configuration specifications, work instructions, tooling, and labor readiness, while actively coordinating with cross-functional teams to resolve pre-production gaps and elevate unaddressed schedule risks.

Production Performance & Process Discipline: Monitors key operational performance metrics, including schedule attainment, throughput, cycle times, labor utilization, and backlog levels to identify and address systemic causes of delay. By continually updating systems with accurate planning parameters and standardized workflows, this role leverages historical performance data to enhance future capacity models, staffing frameworks, and schedule accuracy, while delivering routine executive reports on workload, risks, and operational performance.
