Integration Production Planner Greensboro, NC (Monday-Friday 8am-5pm) Direct Hire Salary: $80,000-$85,000

Job Summary

Integration Production Planner plays a critical role in ensuring our Integration Operations team is ready to meet customer demand, project milestones, and deployment commitments. This role turns customer forecasts, project requirements, and business priorities into actionable production schedules and capacity plans that keep work moving efficiently from planning through completion. Working closely with Project Management, Sales, Operations, Integration, and Logistics, the Integration Planner provides visibility into upcoming workload, establishes production priorities, forecasts labor and capacity needs, and identifies potential risks before they impact delivery. This is more than a scheduling role. We’re looking for a proactive, analytical problem-solver who understands how work flows through an operation, anticipates bottlenecks, and helps leaders make informed decisions about staffing, scheduling, and priorities. The ideal candidate combines strong planning skills, operational awareness, data-driven decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration to help deliver predictable, efficient production outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Planning & Scheduling

Develop and maintain short- and long-term production schedules aligned with customer demand, project milestones, deployment dates, and operational priorities.

Translate project forecasts into practical production plans with clear priorities across workstations and shifts.

Monitor schedule progress, identify potential delays, and develop recovery plans when priorities or conditions change.

Maintain accurate production pipeline visibility and communicate schedule changes, risks, and recovery actions to relevant stakeholders.

2. Capacity & Labor Planning

Evaluate available production capacity based on staffing, equipment, operating hours, and historical throughput.

Forecast labor and capacity requirements to support current demand and upcoming programs.

Identify resource constraints and recommend solutions, including shift adjustments, overtime, or staffing changes.

Assess the operational impact of new programs and refine capacity assumptions using actual performance data.

3. Work Intake & Prioritization

Track incoming work from initial project planning through production readiness, execution, and completion.

Establish production sequences based on due dates, resource availability, readiness, and business priorities.

Resolve competing priorities in partnership with Operations and Project Management, escalating capacity constraints when necessary.

Maintain clear visibility into work that is planned, ready, in progress, at risk, or completed.

4. Customer Onboarding & Production Trials

Collaborate with Project Management, Engineering, Logistics, and Operations to onboard new customer accounts and establish production requirements.

Participate in production trials and proof-of-concept activities to evaluate cycle times, labor requirements, throughput, and quality performance.

Translate trial results into scalable production schedules, capacity plans, and standardized procedures.

Monitor initial production runs and adjust planning assumptions as actual performance data becomes available.

5. Production Readiness

Verify that work meets essential readiness requirements before it is released into the production schedule.

Confirm material availability, configuration specifications, work instructions, tooling, and labor readiness.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve gaps that could delay production.

Identify and upscale unresolved readiness issues and schedule risks before they affect execution.

6. Performance Analysis & Continuous Improvement

Monitor key operational metrics, including schedule attainment, throughput, cycle time, labor utilization, and backlog.

Analyze performance trends to identify recurring bottlenecks, capacity constraints, and causes of production delays.

Maintain accurate planning data, system parameters, and standardized workflows to improve schedule reliability.

Use historical results and actual production performance to improve capacity models, labor plans, and future scheduling accuracy.

Prepare regular reports for Operations leadership that highlight workload, capacity, production performance, risks, and recommended actions.

Qualifications & Experience

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.

At least five years of experience in production planning, manufacturing, integration, distribution, logistics, or a related operational environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Hands‑on experience developing, implementing, and maintaining production schedules in a high‑volume, fast‑paced, or frequently changing operational environment.

Experience balancing competing priorities, managing multiple programs, and adjusting plans in response to changing demand or operational constraints.
