Job summary

City of Philadelphia seeks an Interface Lead to modernize and manage data interfaces between the core Oracle/ERP OnePhilly platform and external city systems, vendors, pension boards, and financial institutions.

You will work directly with the Director to define strategy, design architecture, and ensure secure, compliant data exchanges while leading a team of developers, data analysts, and business analysts in a fast-paced government setting.

Qualifications

• Strong technical and analytical skills to interpret complex data and system interactions.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new software, tools, and technologies.
• Experience with interface testing, troubleshooting, and documentation.
• Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with system integrations, data mapping, or workflow design is a plus.
• Expertise with Windows MS Office suite is a must.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full lifecycle of data interfaces, including requirements gathering, data mapping, and technical design.
• Collaborate with the Director to prioritize interface needs and provide project updates.
• Define and execute interface development strategy aligned with standards and security policies.
• Coordinate with external vendors and city departments to facilitate data exchange.
• Oversee testing protocols (Unit, Integration, UAT) to ensure data integrity.
• Monitor daily interface processing, diagnose issues, and resolve failures.
• Ensure secure file transfers and compliance with data protection policies.
• Mentor developers and analysts working on data integrations.
