Start Date: August 1, 2026
Masters Academy International (MAI) is New England’s only school that blends elite sports training with a rigorous academic curriculum. Our students balance demanding athletic schedules with inquiry‑based learning, developing critical thinking, communication, and confidence to excel in any field.
Our interdisciplinary teaching model connects literature, history, philosophy, social sciences, mathematics, science, technology, and the arts into project‑based units that tackle authentic problems. You will design and facilitate learning experiences that allow students to pursue personal questions while mastering research, analysis, and creative problem‑solving. Collaboration with community partners, experts, and audiences will enable students to translate their learning into meaningful action through service projects, exhibitions, presentations, or other initiatives.
As a lead instructor, you will guide student‑athletes in grades 6–12 through interdisciplinary, project‑based learning. Your responsibilities include designing and facilitating engaging units, supporting inquiry, scaffolding research and collaboration, and fostering social‑emotional growth. You will mentor students, promote a culture of curiosity and respect, and collaborate with colleagues to ensure coherence across units and grades. Clear communication with students, families, and peers will support student progress and success.
You are an experienced, reflective, and collaborative educator passionate about interdisciplinary, project‑based learning. You possess several years of teaching experience, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to connect concepts across disciplines. You understand (or are eager to learn about) the demands of student‑athletes and can guide them in resilience, balance, and confidence. You take ownership of student success, address challenges with integrity and courage, and value collaboration over individual recognition. You are committed to lifelong learning, technology integration, and using facilitation and scaffolding to empower students as creators, collaborators, and engaged citizens.
The salary range is $85,000. Eligible roles include benefits such as medical, life insurance, a 401(k) savings plan, and more.
