The U.S. Department of Energy seeks an Interdisciplinary Physical Scientist (Federal Project Director) to lead complex project portfolios at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, ensuring objectives, costs, and schedules are met using a systems approach.
You will organize Integrated Project Teams, provide technical oversight, assess safety and quality performance, and report project status to DOE leadership.
As a Interdisciplinary Physical Scientist (Federal Project Director), you manage highly complex projects with significant resource requirements, new technology, or aggressive project goals and/or visibility. Responsible and accountable for planning, implementing, and completing projects using a systems approach; developing and implementing the acquisition plan and project execution plan; defining project objectives, scope, cost, and schedule.

Degree: physical science, engineering, or mathematics that included 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science such as mechanics, dynamics, properties of materials, and electronics.
Combination of education and experience: education equivalent to one of the majors shown in A above that included at least 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
