The HQ Dam Safety Program Manager serves as the HQUSACE expert in all Dam Safety Program aspects of engineering, construction, operations and security in the USACE Dam Safety Program, advising the Deputy Dam Safety Officer and Dam Safety Officer for integrating dam safety in the USACE mission. The ideal candidate will foster technical competency, communicate effectively, be self-driven, be proactive and be able to solve complex issues related to the USACE dam safety program.

A bachelors degree in an ABET accredited engineering program is required. Masters degree or doctorate degree is preferred.
At least 12 months of work experience at the next lower grade (GS-14) is required. A minimum of 15 years of experience in hydrology and hydraulics for large dams and large levee systems is preferred.
