Job summary

TotalEnergies seeks a Transmission & Interconnection Policy Manager to lead regulatory initiatives across solar, wind, and energy storage projects in the U.S. You will engage regulators, ISOs/RTOs, utilities, and industry groups to shape policy outcomes.

The role requires 5+ years in regulatory affairs or energy policy, strong technical and analytical skills, and the ability to translate complex rules into actionable business strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Engineering preferred.
• 5+ years in regulatory affairs, power markets, or energy policy in the U.S. energy sector.
• Strong experience with ISO/RTO markets (ERCOT, MISO, PJM, CAISO, SPP, etc.) and interconnection processes.
• Deep understanding of transmission systems and interconnection tariffs.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship-building skills.
• Ability to translate policy into actionable business insights.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead regulatory initiatives across solar, wind, BESS, and large load assets.
• Develop and represent regulatory strategies with ISOs/RTOs, utilities, and agencies.
• Advocate for TotalEnergies’ interests in regulatory forums and policy discussions.
• Analyze evolving interconnection tariffs and regulatory frameworks.
• Translate complex policy into insights on risk, timelines, costs, and project impacts.
• Prepare and submit regulatory filings, comments, and proposals.
• Partner cross-functionally to align technical, regulatory, and commercial teams.
• Lead stakeholder engagement strategies.
