Job summary

Copia Power seeks a Manager, Interconnection to manage generation interconnection requests, coordinate study processes, and lead interconnection negotiations for solar, storage, and gas projects across the U.S. The role reports to the Director of Transmission & Interconnection and collaborates with asset management, energy markets, legal, and finance teams.

Ideal candidates will have extensive knowledge of FERC large generator interconnection processes and experience supporting early-stage

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience, preferably in renewable energy
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint & Excel
• Experience with project management software
• Willingness to travel up to 25% and work in Dana Point, CA; Salt Lake City, UT; Phoenix, AZ; or Lake Oswego, OR offices

Responsibilities

• Support and coordinate generation and load interconnection for utility-scale projects including pre-application feasibility, submission, studies, and deposits
• Provide responses and analysis to internal site selection for feasible transmission locations
• Coordinate with transmission engineers to prepare technical packages
• Submit interconnection applications to ISOs/Utilities
• Track milestones in interconnection processes and manage related funding
• Coordinate with utilities, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders for interconnection approvals
• Participate in ISO/PTO forums to stay current on industry changes
• Support development and maintenance of company tracking tools
