Job summary

Paymentus is seeking a Technical Client Manager to provide advanced technical analysis and strategic support for merchant payment data. You will audit merchant data to reduce interchange costs and identify downgrades, developing tools to automate cost-saving analyses for large-scale clients.

You will also lead efforts in processing data, building dashboards, and advising internal stakeholders and clients on scheme fees and network rules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• 3+ years in electronic bill pay, credit card processing, merchant acquiring, or treasury.
• Deep knowledge of Interchange structures, NACHA, and Card Network regulations.

Responsibilities

• Interchange Optimization: identify savings opportunities and root causes of high interchange fees.
• Transaction Analysis: assess merchant statements and ensure transactions qualify for lowest rates.
• Technical Development: design, write, and enhance proprietary tools and data libraries for cost-saving analyses.
• Reporting & Monitoring: build dashboards (Tableau/Power BI) to track cost drivers and trends.
• Technical Consulting: respond to technical inquiries about fees, networks, and optimization strategies.
• Compliance & Market Research: monitor Visa/Mastercard rules and fee programs.
