Job summary

Windham Southeast Supervisory Union is seeking an Intensive Services Interventionist to develop and implement detailed special education programs for students with intensive needs. The role partners with teachers, special educators, and related services staff to provide structured, intensive supports in various educational settings.

The position requires HQP status or equivalent, ABA/PBIS experience, and CPI or safety-care training within 6 months.

Qualifications

• HQP status required via degree, 48 credit hours, or approved paraprofessional assessment.
• Three years of relevant experience preferred.
• Experience using ABA and PBIS in education settings.
• Knowledge of CPI or Safety-Care de-escalation and restraint protocols.
• Willingness to obtain CPI and CPR/First Aid within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction to eligible students in classroom, school and alternative settings.
• Collaborate with teachers, special educators and related services staff.
• Attend IEP/EPT/CSPL meetings and communicate with families.
• Implement behavior programs and assist with therapy supports.
• Support inclusion and transitions for high-need students as needed.
