Job summary

Balance Treatment Center is seeking full-time Therapists to work a 30-hour week in our Intensive Outpatient Programs. You will work with adults, adolescents, children and families, mainly in groups, with some individual and family work. Experience with group work and CBT/DBT and related approaches is preferred. Evening shifts may be required at some locations.

Qualifications

• Two years minimum experience treating persons with mental illness or substance use disorders.
• DBT, ACT, EMDR, Mindfulness or related evidenced-based practices preferred.
• Able to work collaboratively and communicate effectively.
• Customer-service driven.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the well-being of clients and the integrity of the program.
• Provide effective family, group and individual psychotherapy.
• Conduct assessments at admission and as needed.
• Provide diagnoses and treatment recommendations based on client history and symptoms.
• Provide crisis intervention services.
• Consult with agency staff, caregivers and other professionals.
• Maintain documentation in a timely manner.
• Provide discharge planning for clients as required.
• Align with Balance Treatment Center mission and philosophy.
• Participate in treatment planning and utilization reviews.
• Attend in-service trainings and staff meetings.
