Job summary

SeaView Community Services in Seward, Alaska, seeks an Intensive Outpatient Clinician to deliver behavioral health treatment to adults with substance use and co-occurring conditions. Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, MFT or related field.
  • Eligible for professional licensure in Alaska.
  • Experience providing behavioral health or substance use treatment.
  • Strong assessment, counseling, group facilitation, documentation, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed, person-centered, and recovery-oriented care.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct behavioral health and substance use assessments.
  • Develop individualized, measurable treatment plans.
  • Facilitate intensive outpatient therapy and psychoeducational groups.
  • Provide individual and family counseling as clinically appropriate.
  • Address relapse prevention, emotional regulation, trauma, mental health symptoms, and barriers to recovery.
  • Monitor client progress and update treatment and discharge plans.
  • Provide crisis assessment, safety planning, and intervention.
  • Coordinate care with referral sources, courts, probation, medical providers, and community partners.
  • Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Participate in clinical supervision, treatment team meetings, and organizational training.
  • Maintain compliance with professional, regulatory, payer, and confidentiality requirements.

Temporary Housing Available

SeaView Community Services is seeking a compassionate and skilled Intensive Outpatient Clinician to provide behavioral health treatment to adults experiencing substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions. The clinician will provide assessments, treatment planning, individual counseling, group therapy, crisis support, care coordination, and discharge planning. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys facilitating therapeutic groups, building strong client relationships, and helping individuals develop the skills and support needed for lasting recovery.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, marriage and family therapy, or a related behavioral health field.

Schedule

This is a full-time position. The clinician’s schedule may include afternoon or evening hours based on the intensive outpatient group schedule and the needs of the program. Some participation in crisis-response or on-call coverage may also be required.
