Intelligence Trainer

XVIII ABC Hub and Spoke MTCs provide individual and collective training on Army Mission Command Systems, using a variety of tools and Army fielded systems. These systems are used to support Small Unit Training: Squads through Company, Medium Unit Training: Battalion through Brigade, and Large Unit Training: Divisions and Corps in training environments ranging from Stability and Support Operations (SSO) through Unified Land Operations (ULO).

The Intelligence Trainer serves as a tactical and operational intelligence Subject Matter Expert at the Mission Training Complex (MTC). This role focuses on delivery Intelligence training and exercise support for division and below-level (S2/G2) staff sections. The position requires a flexible, adaptable, and initiative-driven trainer who can independently lead classroom, virtual, and exercise-based training across intelligence disciplines and systems.

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT:
  • Deliver in-person and VTC enabled intelligence instruction to groups of up to 20+ or more students across All-Source Intelligence, GEOINT, SIGINT, HUMINT, IMINT, ISR planning, intelligence collection management, and related tradecraft.
  • Independently deliver established curriculum and tailor instruction, practical exercises, and training products to customer requirements, unit missions, and approved training objectives.
  • Develop, update, and refine courseware, including lesson plans, presentations, practical exercises, student materials, intelligence scenarios, and other training products to reflect current doctrine, operational requirements, system changes, and customer feedback.
  • Prepare and maintain classroom, tactical operations center, simulation, and exercise training environments; coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure required resources, systems, and exercise requirements are available and compliant.
  • Design, facilitate, and support individual, collective, staff, command post, warfighter, and operational-rehearsal training events.
  • Develop exercise support products, including intelligence injects, order of battle materials, operational-environment products, threat scenarios, simulation inputs, and other materials required to support the training audience.
  • Perform OPFOR Commander responsibilities, as assigned, to provide realistic threat representation, scenario execution, and intelligence-driven exercise conditions.
  • Operate and train personnel on Maven, AIDP, MUSE, WARSIM Intelligence Model, and other government-directed intelligence or training systems; directly operate systems during exercises as required.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of tactical network connectivity, data feeds, system architectures, and interoperability to support training, system integration, and coordination with technical personnel.
  • Assess student and unit performance against learning objectives and performance standards; provide coaching, feedback, retraining, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Conduct after-action reviews and maintain required training documentation, including attendance records, student assessments, evaluation results, courseware updates, observations, lessons learned, and corrective-action recommendations.
  • Coordinate with military units, installation personnel, government representatives, program managers, and other stakeholders to execute training requirements and deliverables established during training synchronization meetings.
  • Represent the organization in customer meetings, planning conferences, and briefings; mentor instructors, operators, and junior personnel in intelligence tradecraft, instructional delivery, systems use, and exercise-support responsibilities.
  • Maintain current knowledge of intelligence doctrine, tactics, techniques, procedures, systems, emerging technologies, and assigned mission requirements; demonstrate flexibility in response to evolving customer needs, VTC delivery requirements, field conditions, surge periods, and nonstandard work schedules.
  • Perform as a member of the Higher Command (HICOM) response cell during exercise execution answering formal Requests for Information (RFI) from training units.
  • Maintain familiarization with all Command-and-Control Information Systems (C2IS), simulations, stimulations, and gaming systems.
  • Lead/support the development and execution of the site's internal After-Action Review (AAR) program.
  • Continually assess, innovate, and improve our services to our customers and fully support a comprehensive Quality Control Program (QCP) and Professional Development and Certification Program (PDCP).
  • Work is predominantly intellectual in character and requires the employee to consistently exercise discretion and judgment.
  • Perform limited manual and non-manual work directly related to the general business operations of the Fort Stewart MTC.
  • Participates in special projects and perform other duties as required.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree and 5 yrs or equivalent experience. in lieu of degree.
  • Security Clearance: Top Secret clearance required.
  • Required Technical Skills:
    • Familiarity with Army Command and Control Information Systems (C2IS), Maven Smart System (MSS), and the Intelligence Electronic Warfare Tactical Proficiency Trainer (IEWTPT) system.
    • Understanding of how C2IS systems publish and subscribe to share information.
    • General understanding of the Army simulation and stimulation systems.
    • Familiarity with exercise design and developing Training Support Packages (TSP).
    • Proficiency with Microsoft products to include Word, PowerPoint, Excel and MS Teams; technologically proficient.
  • Required Skills and Abilities:
    • Flexible and adaptable to react to changing requirements and emergent challenges in a fast-paced and high-pressure training environment.
    • The ability to learn and instruct new Intelligence C2IS systems fielded to the military.
    • Strong problem-solving and time management skills
    • Practical knowledge of Collection Management (CM), to include the development of Information Collection Matrices (ICM) and Synchronization Matrices (ICSM).
    • The ability to design and author highly realistic, intelligence-driven Master Scenario Events List (MSEL) injects, script sequences, and simulated message traffic that accurately replicate threat signatures and challenge unit intelligence analysis.
    • The capacity to brief Senior NCOs, Field-Grade Officers (S2s/G2s), and Brigade Commanders with confidence, poise, and professional credibility.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Duties require exercising discretion, independent judgment, and decision-making.
    • Participates in and performs additional duties, special projects, emerging responsibilities as required/directed.
    • Physical labor tasks require the ability to lift/carry 50 pounds and climb ladders to a height of 6 to 12 feet to configure network/power cabling.
  • Location: Fort Stewart MTC. Normal work schedule is 0730-1600, may require night, swing or weekend work shifts depending on specific training event requirements.
  • Travel: May require occasional travel (less than 10%)
