Job summary

U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) seeks a Senior Cryptologic Training Officer to coordinate training opportunities across national agencies and centers.

You will present requirements, lead forums for Tactical Overwatch training, and advise on readiness and deployment considerations to support decentralized modular units worldwide.

Duties

• Serves as Senior Cryptologic Training Officer representing INSCOM and the Army Cryptologic Operations (ACO) with responsibilities for coordinating training opportunities.
• Prepare, present and coordinate Army training requirements with national level agencies, Cryptologic and Operations Centers, Theater Army Commands, and local Commanders.
• Represent assigned Tactical Units at high-level forums, working groups and committees which review, coordinate and approve Tactical Overwatch mission/training requirements, concepts and activities for worldwide implementation by Tactical Forces.
• Interfaces with Senior Officers of Unified and Combatant Commanders, Corps and Division Commanders, Sister Services, as well as numerous Army HQ staffs, on a variety of issues affecting National Tactical Integration training requirements.

Conditions of Employment

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on an SBI with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
• TDY will be required 25% or less of the time.
• All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
• Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis.

Specialized experience is defined as experience providing signals intelligence or cryptologic operations support and training; developing and executing specialized curricula and operational guidelines for tactical exploitation systems to ensure operator proficiency in real-world deployment scenarios; and advising senior leadership on operational readiness, constraints, and training pipelines required to support adaptive intelligence priorities for decentralized modular units.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-12)

Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.
