Job summary

US Naval Intelligence Activity is seeking candidates with specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-12 level. The role emphasizes applying complex analysis, interpreting intelligence from multiple sources, and presenting briefings at senior government levels.

This position requires the ability to adapt to new tools and methodologies and to contribute to national products and interagency briefings. Prior experience in intelligence collection and dissemination is essential.

Job description

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector, such as:



  1. Use terminologies, methodologies, and research and analytical techniques as applied to highly complex assignments in the assigned specialty.

  2. Interpret, evaluate, and integrate intelligence information from all sources.

  3. Use creative thinking and original research to function as a spokesperson for and an authority on activity positions in the intelligence community.

  4. Use intelligence collection methods and systems, their capabilities and limitations, and appropriate tasking methods.

  5. Use verbal and written communication techniques in order to produce activity and national products, present briefings at high government or Service levels, and participate in or chair working groups and conferences.

  6. Adapt to and learn new, highly specialized tools, systems, or methodologies outside of the immediate core discipline.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
