Title: Intelligence Analyst - Level II

Location: 119 D Street, N.E Washington, DC (onsite and remote)

Duration: 1 year, with 4 optional years

Start date: February

Security Clearance: Must obtain a Top Secret/SCI within 1 year of start date.

Salary: $80,000 w/clearance; $75,000 w/no clearance, salary will increase to $80,000 once clearance is obtained

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in intelligence, law enforcement, security, or related field and must possess at least five of cumulative experience in open-source intelligence collection, analysis, and reporting. At this level, CIRSs often work independently and support major tasks in addition to Level 1 work. In lieu of a bachelor's degree, four additional years of experience are required for Intelligence Analyst level and two additional years of experience with an associate's degree in a relatable field.

Job Description: Analysts will conduct all-source research and analysis using open-source, commercial, and government databases to identify threats, security concerns, and intelligence gaps, compiling their findings into written assessments and briefings to support protective and security programs. They will evaluate and interpret intelligence reports, provide situational awareness through outreach with law enforcement, and apply methods such as Behavioral Threat Assessment Management and cyber threat intelligence analysis to support investigations and crisis management. Additionally, analysts must meet stringent security and eligibility requirements, including U.S. citizenship, a bachelor's degree, a background investigation, and eligibility for a Top Secret/SCI clearance, while the Lead Analyst will oversee operations, ensure compliance with policies, and manage the workflow and quality of intelligence products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize all sources, open sources, publicly available information, and commercial and government databases to help identify information, threats, and security concerns. Compile, analyze, evaluate, organize, and incorporate into written assessments, briefs, or other intelligence products.
  • Use methods and analysis to collect information to support the drafting of intelligence assessments. Support, evaluate and interpret incoming intelligence reports and other information vital to the success of protective and security programs.
  • Review event details and provide an intelligence assessment related to identified issues, demonstration activity, or individuals of concern that could potentially impact events identified by requests for intelligence assessments. Also conduct appropriate outreach with law enforcement for situational awareness or police presence as needed.
  • Assist law enforcement by identifying threat actors and providing a threat assessment via research and analysis using commercial and government databases, publicly available information, and social media investigation.
  • Support investigations using the Behavioral Threat Assessment Management model.
  • Apply technical knowledge to develop and produce finished cyber threat intelligence products and assessments to support investigations. Conduct trend analysis to inform mitigation planning, operational decision-making, and crisis management. Monitor and evaluate all-source intelligence and information to identify and assess potential cyber threats to information systems.

Analysts shall be assigned daily assignments and longer-term projects. All duties shall be undertaken in compliance with training, policies, procedures, Directives, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and other guidance (collectively referred to as "policies") for the performance of those duties.

All Analysts shall be required to be capable to perform the following:

  • Conduct all-source research, analysis, and production.
  • Have strong written communication skills, with the ability to draft complete, accurate, and grammatically correct reports.
  • Employ meticulous documentation skills, organizational ability, and attention to detail to support the drafting of assessments.
  • Utilize Government furnished technology and tools only for the purposes of conducting the services required under this contract.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must meet the following qualifications, to be vetted by the contract agency prior to referral.

  • Possess United States citizenship (either by birth or naturalization).
  • Possess a valid high school diploma or General Educational Development (GED), or equivalency.
  • Be able to read, write and speak the English language fluently.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a valid, unrestricted (except eyewear) state driver's license.
  • Previous cyber experience is required

Must meet the following standards and qualifications:

  • Must have experience supporting protective intelligence or law enforcement missions
  • Pass a background security investigation.
  • Successfully complete all on-boarding training to include online mandatory training and on-the-job training.
  • Sign and be subject to a Non-Disclosure Agreement.
