Job summary

Control Risks is seeking an Intelligence Analyst to support a major global technology client. The role centers on rapid triage, real-time monitoring, and clear communication during developing situations, including traveller assistance and event coordination.

You will monitor travel-related developments, provide first-line support, coordinate secure transportation, and prepare situational updates. Experience in risk intelligence and GSOC environments is beneficial, with language skills a plus.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in history, political science, intelligence analysis, criminal justice, or a related discipline.
  • 1‑3 years of experience in intelligence or in a GSOC.
  • Experience with global risk intelligence and incident response software.
  • Experience with emergency mass notification systems.
  • Experience with travel risk management software platforms.
  • Experience working in a collaborative security operations environment.
  • Experience evaluating open‑source information for incident analysis.
  • Japanese or Chinese language fluency is a bonus.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor real-time alerts, assess relevance, and escalate per workflows.
  • Draft concise alerts, situation updates, and rapid assessments.
  • Provide on-demand support to internal intelligence teams.

Job description

Control Risks is hiring an Intelligence Analyst to support a major global technology client. The Analyst provides first-line support for employee travel and events through real-time monitoring, traveller assistance, horizon scanning, and technical intelligence support. The role focuses on rapid triage, escalation, and clear communication during developing situations.

  • Monitor travel‑related developments impacting employees.
  • Provide first‑line traveller assistance and support issue resolution.
  • Assist with coordination of secure transportation and vetted third‑party vendors.
  • Support pre‑trip advisories, briefings, and traveller outreach.
  • Assist with travel‑related incidents and support travellers in distress.
  • Support review of upcoming events and prepare situational summaries, including but not limited to geofencing, tactical intelligence, and weather intelligence.
  • Conduct targeted monitoring during event windows and escalate concerns.
  • Create and manage mass‑notification groups for events.
  • Monitor real‑time alerts, assess relevance, and escalate per workflows.
  • Draft concise alerts, situation updates, and rapid assessments.
  • Provide on-demand support to internal intelligence teams.
Requirements

  • Experience working in a collaborative environment, such as a government or corporate global security operations center, emergency operations center or a major urban area fusion center.
  • Experience evaluating open‑source information (media, social media, and unclassified government websites) to conduct incident analysis.
  • Japanese or Chinese language fluency is an added bonus.

The base salary range for this position is $70000-80000 per year. Exact compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
