Job summary

Control Risks is seeking a Regional Threat Intelligence Specialist to support a Fortune 50 technology client. The role focuses on producing threat intelligence reports and risk assessments for the Americas region, including analysis of natural hazards, infrastructure and political instability.

The specialist will monitor trends related to data centers, collaborate with internal stakeholders, visit client sites for on-the-ground analysis, and deliver concise, tailored briefings under tight

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years of risk analysis or intelligence gathering.
  • Excellent writing skills with keen attention to detail; strong verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to work independently and within a distributed team.
  • Superior OSINT research skills and security analysis knowledge.
  • Familiarity with geopolitical risk platforms (e.g., Seerist) and Google suite.
  • English and Spanish working level; Portuguese a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth research on locations across the Americas assessing threats from natural hazards, infrastructure, terrorism and political instability.
  • Produce concise, actionable intelligence reports and threat/vulnerability assessments.
  • Monitor trends related to data centers affecting facilities, supply chains, and operations.
  • Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to gather site information and bolster assessments.
  • Visit client sites for on-the-ground risk analysis.
  • Create briefings and presentations tailored to varied stakeholders and business needs.
  • Manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.

This role will support threat, vulnerability, and risk assessments, as well as some other analytical content for the Americas region.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years of experience in risk analysis and / or intelligence gathering.

  • Excellent writing skills with a keen attention to detail.Strong written and verbal interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a distributed team environment.
  • Superior research and Open-Source Intelligence(OSINT) skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of security analysis and risk assessments for physical security or security operations and planning.
  • Familiarity with Google suite platforms, Gemini, and other applications.
  • Familiarity with or ability to quickly become expert in geopolitical risk analysis platforms, such as Seerist.
  • English and Spanish working level proficiency required.
  • Portuguese proficiency a plus.

The base salary range for this position is $70000-$80000 per year. Exact compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
