A law firm seeks a talented and motivated associate with 2 to 4 years of experience in AI, copyright, trademark, trade secret, and/or false advertising law to join its intellectual property and technology litigation practice in New York, New York. The firm is at the forefront of high-profile cases, including defending major technology companies in generative AI litigation, and maintains a nationwide team of renowned first-chair trial lawyers.

Duties

• Manage intellectual property and technology litigation and enforcement matters across copyright, trademark, trade secret, false advertising, and AI spaces.
• Develop strategy for complex litigation and enforcement actions while counseling clients on legal risks related to product development.
• Conduct legal research and analysis, demonstrating strong legal writing and verbal communication skills.
• Manage the discovery phase of litigation, including coordinating with clients and vendors to execute e-discovery processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive legal solutions and exhibit strong client-facing skills.

Requirements

• 2 to 4 years of experience in AI, trademark, copyright, false advertising, and/or trade-secret law, including litigation.
• Strong understanding of the Lanham Act, the Copyright Act, the DMCA, federal and state trade-secret statutes, and computer-access laws such as the CFAA.
• Willingness to engage with a broad range of laws and legal principles necessary to support technology clients with legal disputes.
• Membership in the state bar where the position is located is required.

Education

• Superior academic credentials and a Juris Doctor degree.

Certifications

• Active membership in the relevant state bar association.
