Talently is seeking an Intellectual Property Attorney to join on-site in New York, NY. The role focuses on leading IP litigation matters while handling trademark and copyright prosecution and related advisory work.

You will contribute to complex federal court matters and a broad range of IP issues, advising clients on disputes and commercial agreements.

Qualifications

• Admitted to the New York State Bar and federal courts in New York.
• Experience with IP litigation and prosecution in federal court.
• Strong legal writing and communication skills.
• Experience taking depositions and preparing cases for trial.
• Experience prosecuting trademark and copyright applications.
• Experience handling opposition and cancellation proceedings before the USPTO.

Join a legal services organization advising clients on intellectual property rights, disputes, and commercial agreements. This opportunity offers an experienced attorney the chance to help lead IP litigation matters while also handling trademark and copyright prosecution and related advisory work. Based on site in New York, you will contribute to complex federal court matters and a range of intellectual property matters.

Responsibilities:

• Help lead a team of IP litigators in federal court matters.
• Take the lead in depositions and support trial preparation and trial proceedings.
• Prepare clearance opinions and advise on intellectual property issues.
• Prosecute trademark and copyright applications.
• Prepare coexistence and license agreements.
• Handle opposition and cancellation proceedings before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Must-Have Skills:

• Experience with opposition and cancellation proceedings before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
• Admission to the New York State Bar and federal courts in New York.
• New York State court experience.
• Exceptional legal writing and communication skills.
• Experience taking depositions and preparing cases for trial.
• Experience prosecuting trademark and copyright applications.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience preparing intellectual property coexistence and license agreements.
