Responsibilities

Orrick is seeking highly skilled and motivated associates with two to four years of experience to join our dynamic Intellectual Property Litigation practice in any of our U.S. offices. The majority of the U.S. Intellectual Property team is based in Southern California, Bay Area, and East Coast offices.

Qualified candidates will have two to four years of experience in intellectual property matters, including patent and/or trade secret. Candidates must have excellent research and writing skills, ability to work independently, and strong advocacy ability. Strong academic credentials along with entrepreneurial drive, initiative, grit, and a strong work ethic are required. A bachelor's or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent is preferred, though other degrees will be considered if paired with strong work experience.

Admission to the State Bar of your office location is required.

Qualifications

• Two to four years experience
• A bachelor's or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent is preferred.
• Highly motivated with excellent academic credentials and superior writing and communication skills.
• Membership to the State Bar of the office of the state in which the candidate expects to be located is required.

Compensation and Benefits

The expected salary range for this position is between $235,000 and $310,000.

Orrick is committed to providing a comprehensive, competitive, and thoughtful total compensation package to our attorneys and staff wherever they work. The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job‑related factors that may include, but are not limited to, qualifications, relevant experience or education, particular skills or expertise, and geography.
