Duties:

Handle all stages of patent litigation, from pre-suit investigation through trial and appeal

Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery materials

Assist in developing litigation strategy in coordination with clients and internal teams

Participate in depositions, hearings, and trials

Collaborate with legal teams and technical experts to analyze complex technical issues

Communicate effectively with clients and contribute to case management

Requirements:

1-3 years of experience in intellectual property litigation

Demonstrated ability to manage components of patent litigation matters

Familiarity with federal court procedures and case law relating to IP disputes

Strong legal research and writing abilities

Excellent oral advocacy and presentation skills

Willingness to work in a hybrid schedule, typically 2–3 days per week in the office

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

Active membership in the Illinois State Bar or eligibility for admission

Skills:

Prior experience as a federal judicial law clerk is a plus

Strong organizational and time-management abilities
