Job summary

Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory IPO is seeking an Agreements Associate to draft and negotiate NDAs, MTAs, Data Use Agreements, and related IP contracts in line with UC policies and DOE requirements.

Reporting to the Agreements Manager, you will manage agreement transactions, prepare compliant draft documents, and coordinate with internal subject-matter experts to secure final approvals for signatures.

Qualifications

• Requires undergraduate degree or equivalent.
• 2 years related legal/licensing experience.
• Ability to draft and negotiate Non-Disclosure, Material Transfer, Data Use Agreements and related IP agreements.

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate NDAs, MTAs, Data Use Agreements and related agreements for Berkeley Lab.
• Draft transactions using Berkeley Lab standard agreements and align external agreements to Lab requirements.
• Maintain database entries on pending and executed agreements and provide reports to management and UC/DOE.
• Represent Berkeley Lab on UC-wide and DOE national lab groups or related committees.
• Negotiate with scientists, engineers, and external partners to meet Lab requirements.
