Job summary

University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) seeks a Contracts and Industry Agreements professional to advise on IP rights protection, licenses and MTAs/NDAs across sponsored research. You will draft, negotiate and administer agreements, assess risk, and ensure compliance with federal and state laws while supporting industry partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related area.
• Ability to analyze information, define problems, and assess risk.
• Strong customer service and confidentiality.
• Excellent time management and ability to prioritize multiple projects.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Contracts experience including drafting and negotiating agreements.

Responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate and administer MTAs and NDAs.
• Negotiate Data Transfer Agreements, Equipment Loan Agreements, CTAs, sponsored research agreements.
• Support companies wishing to sponsor research.
• Facilitate compliance with federal and state laws in research, IP, contracts and employment.
• Attend meetings and build industry relationships; develop contacts database; PR tools; meet UCSF faculty.
• Train and educate campus about Industry Sponsored Agreements and develop presentations.
• Under supervision, assist with policy analysis and advise on basic contracts in sponsored and collaborative research agreements including IP clauses.
