Job summary

Keystone Human Services is seeking Advanced Direct Support Professionals to provide person-directed support for adults with intellectual disabilities, mental health needs, and autism. You will help with daily living skills, personal care, and advocating for health and wellness within a supportive home setting.

The role may involve medication administration or delegated nursing tasks under supervision, with emphasis on inclusion and community participation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One year of work experience supporting individuals with challenging medical needs or behaviors or dual diagnosis of intellectual disability and mental health.
• Effective communication and proficient computer skills.
• Completion of required certifications and training mandated by regulations and additional medical/behavioral health trainings.

Responsibilities

• Support adults by creating a healthy and engaging home setting.
• Teach and assist with daily living skills and personal care.
• Advocate for health and wellness of the people supported.
• Possibly administer medications and monitor health conditions under nursing supervision; respond to emergencies per protocols and behavior support plans.

Keystone Human Services is currently seeking Advanced Direct Support Professionals to join our team in providing individualized, person-directed support in the areas of intellectual disabilities, mental health, and autism. Our work focuses on inclusion and building communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive and fully participate in everything society has to offer. As an Advanced Direct Support Professional, you will support adults by creating a healthy and engaging home setting, teaching and assisting with daily living skills, assisting with personal care, and advocating for the health and wellness of the people we support. This position may administer medications, perform delegated nursing tasks, monitor health conditions under the supervisor of a nurse, and respond to emergencies following protocols and implementing behavior support plans. The Advanced Direct Support Professional supports individuals with a high level of need as defined by clinical and/or health care assessments. • Full time, Part time, and Casual positions available
• $22.25 per hour

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year work experience supporting individuals with either challenging medical needs and/or behaviors or dual diagnosis of intellectual disability and mental health
• Effective communication and proficient computer skills
• Successfully complete and maintain all required certifications and training mandated by regulations and additional specialized medical and/or behavioral health trainings necessary
• Valid drivers license and, depending on work location, may be required to have daily access to a privately maintained and insured vehicle
• Successful completion of the pre-employment process, including clearances and verifications
