Job summary

ScanSource is seeking a Senior UI Developer in Greenville, SC to implement and ship modern user interfaces across platforms. You will integrate with legacy code, modernize features, and contribute to platform style guides while mentoring teammates and aligning with designers, PM, and stakeholders.

You will lead front-end interface implementations, prototype solutions, and help define a modular UI component catalog, while advising on architecture and ensuring test coverage.

Job description

The Senior UI Developer’s primary responsibility is to implement and ship beautiful user interfaces that bring a modern touch to our platforms. The role requires integrating with legacy application code, maintaining and modernizing existing features and tools, and contributing to the development of platform style guides and user interface standards. The Senior UI Developer will act as a liaison to designers, developers, project management and stakeholders, mentoring less experienced team members, pushing design capabilities and improving user experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of internal‑ and customer‑facing front‑end interfaces
• Participate in design meetings and prototype solutions
• Develop a strategy and catalog of modular user interface components
• Advise architectural and system design decisions
• Effectively communicate technical and practical design considerations or limitations throughout the design process
• Implement unit tests and improve code coverage as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 6+ years of production‑ready software development experience
• 4+ years of production experience shipping applications with modern front‑end frameworks (React preferred, but others like Angular, Vue, etc.)
• Ability to innovate and creatively implement solutions to uncommon challenges
• A keen eye for design, including experience implementing attractive user interfaces
• Highly proficient with version control via git

Preferred

• Production experience with Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure
• Experience with or knowledge of server‑side rendered front‑end applications
• Familiarity with PHP and MySQL
• Knowledge of accessible UX best practices

Compensation

Compensation Range: $110,000‑$120,000. Actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on a number of variables including work experience, education and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer. This position is not eligible for a variable pay component as part of the hiring range.
